I’m writing this post a day earlier than normal. I have a couple of reasons why, one being I am going to be extraordinarily busy tomorrow and I have some awesome news.
I am currently down a total of 16 pounds. I am still doing static exercises and if you think I’ve lost my mind and that I should just get over it already and do more exercises, you have to know that the bone graft area hasn’t healed an I’ve already fallen once when putting all of my weight on that food while stepping off my porch. I have to have more strength in the ankle.
The other reason that I’m writing this today…..is…I’m treating myself to a piece of apple pie. And, when I say a piece, I honestly mean a tiny minute piece. This little piece of pie is probably nt even 1/4 of the size I would normally eat. But, I bought it pre-made and I”m assuming that the folks that marketed it had ever intention of me eating only one serving of it.
So, as of October 11, 2009, I am down a rockin’ total of 16 pounds….but next week…..let’s just hope the apple pie doesn’t show up….
And, no one even noticed. Not one person has noticed. I finally asked my husband today and he said that I wear my clothes too baggy for him to notice….whatever!

Congrats on your 16 pounds lost. I’m a big believer in rewarding yourself… A small piece of pie is a good reward.

Congrats on losing the 16 lbs. You should be proud of your accomplishment regardless of whether anyone else noticed. The important thing is that you notice how much better you feel. And enjoy that pie, you deserve it.

First of all, I’d like to congratulate you on your 16 lb weight loss. I for one think it is a big deal to have lost that amount considering its alot tougher than what alot of people think especially those who have never had to go on a diet themselves. As far as no one noticing, I too have had the same thing happen to me. To me it should be obvious. Your face is probably thinner for one and your clothes are fitting looser than they normally do. You’d think that would be a dead giveaway but I swear some people wont compliment you because they are either jealous, or have noticed but for whatever reason, they dont want to say anything. Keep up the good work. I bet your feeling so much better losing that weight and you’ve probably got alot more energy.

Be proud of your weight loss, even if your husband didn’t notice! Men are really unobservant at times. You have fought hard, and I know;eating that very small piece of pie is tough. I am one of those who would normally eat two pieces, and my willpower is weak – you have done great! Thanks for sharing
